Richard Cardillo is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Moontower, where he oversees the firm’s legal, regulatory and compliance functions. He has more than twenty years of experience advising sponsors and institutional investors on alternative investment funds and transactions.

Before joining Moontower, Richard was a partner in the Investment Funds group at DLA Piper LLP (US) and, earlier, a partner at Jackson Walker LLP. He began his career in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Richard has also served on the faculty of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), where he taught courses on the private equity industry.

Richard holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School and a B.B.A. from the College of William & Mary.
