Robert Taylor

Robert is Chief Financial Officer of Moontower. Robert has more than 30 years of business experience, including over 25 years working in the private equity industry and has designed and implemented accounting, investor reporting, tax, treasury, technology, human resources and compliance business practices across multiple firms. 

Prior to joining Moontower, Robert was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Riata Capital Group, a middle market private equity firm that invests in privately held companies across North America. Robert joined Riata at its inception and was responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing management of its middle and back office capabilities.

Prior to Riata, Robert served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Parallel Investment Partners, a private investment firm which invested in lower middle market companies across North America, having joined Parallel at its inception as a stand-alone firm.   

Robert previously served as a Director at TPG, responsible for the oversight of technology infrastructure; the development, implementation and maintenance of TPG’s financial systems; financial, performance and investor reporting; and TPG’s back office policies and procedures.

Robert began his career in public accounting at Coopers & Lybrand and KPMG, where he served both domestic and international public and private clients and subsequently held SEC reporting and strategic planning roles at First USA and Burlington Northern. 

Robert received a B.S. in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.
